T-Echo: No serial, nor bluetooth connection from client.meshtastic.net upon cfg-file imports

I keep having severe trouble with my two lilygo t-echo node devices.

I had flashed firmware v 2.5.0.9e55e6b on both of them by means of flasher.meshtastic.org following the instructions (which is in fact to be done by downloading the firmware file and dragging it on the device connected and coupled as usb drive), and they both worked well.
I used android meshtastic app v 2.4.4 on android 13 to configure both devices via bluetooth, and to import and export cfg-files.

Then I allegedly made the mistake to use an earlier meshtastic app v 2.3.15 on android 14 from a second android mobile device to import cfg-files, which had previously been exported using a first one with the later android app v 2.4.4.
This seemed to corrupt something on the nodes, the t-echo devices both froze upon reboot.

That is, I was afterwards able to flash the firmware again to both t-echo node devices by means of the web flasher app in order to bring them back to working. Flashing would however not sweep the previous configuration on the devices.
And then neither bluetooth (which is now inactive on the node devices) nor serial would ever since connect from both node devices to client.meshtastic.org following the instructions. That is, the actual configuration parameters of the nodes would not show up upon successful serial connection, and changes would not be saved or transmitted to the nodes upon saving within the client interface web app.

Any suggestions for a solution (macos or linux, only!) to this are warmly welcome and appreciated!

I might try this. Flash nRF52/RP2040 Factory Erase | Meshtastic
unless that is a red herring - never tried it.
I incessant problems with the T-echo. At one point I have to revert to a much older firmwear (sorry, cannot remember which one) and then re-flash to the new one to unblock it. I have read reports of people needed to re-flash dozens of time to get the thing to work at all again.
BTW how do you flash from meshtasic flasher on Linux ?

thank you adingbatponder!
flasher.meshtastic.org instructed me to download the wanted firmware version and to transfer it via drag & drop onto the device, which I had to previously connect and couple to the linux pc as usb drive.

Thanks. Yes for some nodes. But needs chrome for non-copy and paste route for some nodes. Was wondering if there was a clever work-around for Linux to be able to flash via the site without copy and paste. I have to use a windows machine to flash from the site.
