I am pretty sure i did everything right but it is not connecting!

In the esphome-flasher program, the firmware file needs to be the device firmware for your specific board downloaded from Releases · meshtastic/Meshtastic-device · GitHub. Extract the zip and select the firmware file for your board which should be called firmware-tbeam-1.2.xx.bin. You should then be able to flash that to your board. I think the file you were trying to flash was the device driver for the USB to UART bridge the board uses.
Oh thank you! I am unaware of how to determine my correct firmware needed.
Follow the link above, download the most recent release. Extract the contents of the zip file. Then use the file named ‘firmware-tbeam-1.2.xx.bin’.
