also - double check you installed the TBEAM load (not TTGO-LORA - which is a different type of board) on that second board. Because the wrong load would cause what you describe.
Yeah I was using the right image for the T-Beam (not the LoRa one) and to no avail. Several days later and after trying all kinds of code on it, I cannot see any NMEA transactions - good or bad. The GPS++ code binds ok to the NEO-6M, but then doesn’t output anything. Makes me wonder if there are any pins that have to be assigned to it or something. Dunno. Need further investigation.
