New user experience

New user (again) here, just want to say thanks to all the developers and all the people who spent their time uploading help files, videos and advice for the likes of myself.

I’ve just purchased a heltec V3, and a 5DBI right angle antenna from AliExpress and went for it. On my first day I’ve managed to get a straight shot to a node about 114 km away and spoke to two others in my local area(3 -7.5km) so thoroughly impressed.

Do you have MQTT enabled? To get a signal across the Pennines would be a fair old jump on EU_868!

Yep, no mqtt, subsequent investigations with a local regular user leads us to think someone has not got correct location data.
Getting toward hf skywave size skips there!!!
Still loving meshtastic though, already thinking about buying other nodes too put in families houses.
