High power LoRa modules

My record for a DIY 1W module Meshtastic device to a T-Beam on 915MHz is 76km / 47 miles (13% signal reported on the T-Beam) on Long-Fast / Bw31_25Cr48Sf512 channel settings.
I used these antennas (which have always measured well) on both ends.

I have no doubt that I could actually go decently further given another line of sight spot to try, but my terrain makes that difficult.

433mhz would work even better right?

2.14 dBi = 0 dBd
1.2 dBi = - / - dBd
4.28 dBi = 1dBd
( not logarithmic scale, just example to define these have no gain )
9.14 dBi = 7.0 dBd

I have several of the HamShield LoRa boards that I bought when I first started learning about LoRa, but I have never been able to get them to work.

Iā€™d really like to make Meshtastic nodes with these boards. My programming knowledge is very low at this point, though I can follow directions well :). Can anyone help?
