CanaryOne receives but doesn't transmit?

I’ve got a handful of meshtastic radios: HelTec/RAK/LilyGo/CanaryOne, and they’re all running the beta firmware 2.4.2.5b45303. They all seem to see each other as nodes, and all can receive messages (channel general and direct), but the CanaryOne can’t seem to send messages to any of my other radios.

I sent it back once, and it came back working for a while until I upgraded the firmware today. Then it was seeing nodes but not sending messages. I did a factory reset and it somehow got worse because now the other nodes are showing up as “Unknown”.

Any clues for me? I liked the CanaryOne because it was all pre-made, but it’s feeling less and less useful than my DIY devices.

Did you ever get this fixed? I am having some issues sending messages over 40 bytes.

Are you using a T114?

No, a CanaryOne. This is a different device than the T114

Nope. I stopped using this shortly thereafter. I’ll power it up again for the next firmware update but probably not messing with it until 2.5 is in Beta.

I can send messages up to around 45 bytes. I am not sure if it always did that, as when I first got it, I just sent short messages. I have tried different firmwares from 2.3 to 2.5, nothing changes. If I lower the power output, it seems that I can send somewhat longer messages, but not by much.
