Tlora T3S3 V1.2 SX1262 868 MHz can't communicate with other nodes

I flashed the firmware 2.2.15.31c4693 (specifically firmware-tlora-t3s3-v1-2.2.15.31c4693.bin) with CLI tool after holding the boot button when powering the board up. Firmware is installed and works properly, I put in the correct config, but I can’t communicate with a very powerful node (the powerful node is guaranteed to work properly and on correct frequency) just 100 meters away in line of sight. My node does not see it, it does not see my node either. I did a lot of ad-hoc pings. I don’t have many tools to check what’s going on but Flipper reports that some transmission is indeed happening from my node at around 869.075 MHz as it should actually happen. I have wipe-reinstalled the firmware several times and tried slight variantions of the node configuration settings and still nothing works. I have already ordered SDR and NanoVNA to properly check my signals and antenna (I tried both the one that came with the board and a bigger one from Aliexpress that others reported to properly work), but they are month(s?) away. Maybe somebody had similar issues? May the board just be damaged in a way that it appears to work but actually does not? I made sure to not power it without an antenna connected.

Of the 4 Lilygo T3S3 V1.2 devices I got from Amazon, all of the antennas are tuned to about 1GHZ… rather disappointing. I’ve flashed mine successfully from the web interface.

Mine can communicate but the range is absolutely miserable. I bought a Nano VNA to analyze the issues and they’re all tuned to 1Ghz.

Well, repeatedly reflashing firmware fixed the issue eventually. Range is good enough with T3S3 v1.1 stock antenna. I got signal from 4 km node when I was at 12th storey.
