TBeam Supreme loses BLE after USB Serial Connection

Anyone else seeing this issue?

Latest alpha firmware, although even happens with stable 23 / 24

I use my iPad to BLE to the Supreme. The node is plugged into one of my computers powered USB hub. If I use the Serial Web Gui to make a change and then exit the web gui, the node is not discoverable via bluetooth by any devices.

Yep, I have forgotten the node on the BT tab on my iPad.

To get it to work again I have to unplug from the computer USB and also remove the 18650 battery. Only then will it appear again on my iPad as a BLE device.

Anyone else have this issue please?

Hi, I’ve been trying to figure out the Serial mode. One thing that might affect you is that if you enable Serial.Proto mode, it will disable the Bluetooth connection. I think the reason is that once Serial.Proto has been enabled (I believe part of enabling is is to send a RequestConfig proto message to the radio) all messages that normally go to the bluetooth device instead go to the Serial device.
