T-Beam - M8N & SX1262 433 mhz

I want to buy 2 “T-Beam - M8N & SX1262” boards but I can’t see a 433mhz option on AliExpress.

I asked lilygo about this and they said the minimum order quantity is 200.

Can I just order the 868/923 version, slap a 433 mhz antenna and change the frequency in the firmware? Or is the hardware for the 433mhz one different in some other ways too?

different hardware on the lora module itself, only 868 works on 915 and vice versa.

I wonder why they stopped making 433 mhz ones.

Is there any way we can convince them to make 433mhz versions again?

@geeksville @mc-hamster

There is a minimum order because they are not selling them in volume and it is not worth doing another run unless someone buys a 200 unit batch.

I was under the impression that 433mhz is a popular option especially for places where 868 is not legal for such use.

Isn’t the SX1262 module capable of a wide range of frequencies? I read the tech sheet and it looks like it can switch to all these frequencies, what exactly is different between the boards?

The output machting/bandpass filter differs between 868/915 and 433

Popular is relative, this is a pretty small niche overall right now. 915 is the radio sold in some small volume currently, all the rest are lower volume that may be questionable financially for a Chinese factory in a pandemic with the weirdest supply chain ever.

Here is one wit SX1262 and 433 Mhz is selectable @kokroo
