Now What? Noob thread: I paired, don't see my device in my app

I downloaded the APK file from Github, the latest, on Lineage OS for MicroG, and when I load the Meshtastic app after pairing I don’t see my device.

What am I doing wrong?

If you can refer me to threads I didn’t find when searching for a solution before asking this question I’d appreciate it.

Edit: I have analytics turned off.

Ah, no I didn’t.

But I did disconnect (reboot) my phone while Meshtastic was still on. After the reboot it automagically connected.
