Thanks Josh!
I have been connecting to my 2 different nodes with the same iDevice, so looks to be the same issue, I will only connect to one of T-Beams for now.
Thanks for isolating what was happening!

Deleted the app, reinstalled it and updated to latest alpha 1.2.55 and it seems to be working for now. I will keep you updated.
Also using 1.2.55 Alpha along with updated Test Flight release with Location sharing and Tap back responses. Things seem to be working better and feel more stable.

I am new here (first post). I am interested in joining this test. I have Iphone12 OS 15.3.1. i have two T-beams up and running. I downloaded the test flight app and it opens to a screen “No Apps Available to Test” Only option is Redeem. Can i join Please? If so what more do i need to do?
Thank you
There are no codes
Thanks Garth, i figured it out. I didnt know you needed to open this website (Join the Meshtastic beta - TestFlight - Apple) on your iphones browser before installing test flight. Doing so allows you to get the invite to test (wish i had made better notes as to how it happened). In any case i am up an running. As i stated i have to T-beams. I am able to connect to both radios. Sending messages to both works. I have noticed two things: One radio is plugged into usb is showing its running on battery. It is also not showing SNR status. The second radio is on battery but is showing a plug icon (assuming it thinks it is plugged in) and yes i have checked to make sure i am not mistaking them for each other. Also the second radio is showing SNR of 10.25. I was also assuming that if i set one radio a message it would send to the second radio (perhaps i need to have them father apart).
Hope this helps
SNR is not available on the connected node, the battery details come from the device. When 0 is returned for the battery level that means the device is powered, sometimes you have to power cycle a tbeam after removing it from the charger to get the battery level to report.
You can use Python or the Android app for that. The iOS app will eventually support this.
Hello all!
I am also new thanks to Garth and all else that have helped get this this far!!
I currently am running 2 tbeams (on 1.2.57) one connected to my ipad pro (IOS15.1) and one connect iphone xs (IOS15.3.1). Both on plug power and seem to be working normal i think. but i can not make the two talk to each other. It seems like if i were using android i would be creating a group for both to join… Any advice for a newb?
Seems to have solved the problem by switching Bach to standard network names. That would mean anyone could access the network if they have a node in range correct?
@garth would it be possible to implement sending a location on the map, as a named marker displayed on the map, without having a device at that specific location? It would be great to be able to e.g define a common meeting point that appears on everyone’s map without having to be at that point already.
This is surely a ton of work but would be a useful addition at some point in the future
Its a neat idea, right now all positions are node attached so I can’t quite map out in my head how it would work but would be a good thing to submit as a feature request in the device repo (should be in the firmware so that it could work from all the clients)
@garth - It could be encoded to a message if properly formatted. It would need to do approximate location based on the map, current scale, and current position to guess the location of the pin dropped.
An RFC for this is circulating in our discord.
