Anyone in the San Diego Ca area with a node? We are growing our mesh and looking for more.

I just got a few nodes up, I think I saw your node

Yeah I believe I saw you too. I sent you a message over Meshtastic but it didn’t say it went through. I sent you a DM.

Im in San Diego and I will be putting up a few nodes. One on Mt. Otay and one on Mt. Miguel and another in Bonita on one of my towers. I own a few towers in the area.

Great to hear. Do you have a node?

I’m down in Jamul and have a janky node up right now, but will do a better one up on the roof in the next few weeks. Waiting to see if anything shows up for now.

Great to hear. The mesh is pretty strong so I would assume you should be heard.

In Jamul you will see my node on Otay mountain. AYBO

I have ATAK and have used it before (just a bit) but haven’t tied it to meshtastic… Would love to play!

We would love to have you. The mesh is pretty strong in San Diego.

Hi
i am new to all this
I am a ham here in san diego and would like to get information as to what freqency is being used and what is a good unit or equipment to get started with etc …

any help would be greatly appreciated !

Hi there. The frequency used in the US is 915mhz. In my opinion the nodes I like are the Heltec V3 for a mobile node and RAK wireless node for a solar stationary node.
