Remove old nodes in iOS app?

Is there a method for removing old nodes in the iPhone app? I’ve got nodes listed there from months ago that have since been repurposed or flashed, I would love to remove them from the ‘nodes’ tab.

I just remove the Bluetooth device within the settings/Bluetooth

I just checked but they’re not in my list of Bluetooth devices :frowning:

Not sure where to point you to now……

Thanks for trying anyway! It’s more of an inconvenience than real issue, I’ll survive

You need to do the node db reset under device settings, otherwise the node just comes right back from the device.

Thank you! That did it.

I’m having the same problem but I can’t find “node db reset” under the device settings. iOS Meshtastic app.

It says to forget the device in Settings/Bluetooth however there are no devices showing in it.

Same problem here. Just flashed to 2.2.14, and I’m having trouble connecting to the node. The app instructs to “forget your device under Settings > Bluetooth”, but on iOS there’s no such option on the Bluetooth settings page

I just did it in the Meshtastic app on iOS, connected to node via Bluetooth, went to settings in the app, device, then “Reset NodeDB” button near the bottom, this clears out any of the nodes from the devices memory that it’s seen, so it wont keep putting it back in the Nodes list in the app.

Ah, I have a slightly different problem then. I thought that resetting the node DB meant clearing node data from the phone. My problem is that I cannot connect to the node anymore after flashing it with new firmware. The app instructs to “forget the device”, but there’s no such option on iOS

My problem is after reflashing, it won’t let me connect to the node anymore. I connected a working node to the app and did the ‘reset db’ option but when trying to connect to the first node, it never promts for the BT pairing code and just cycles to 10 tries and fails.

Same problem as you it appears.

Also, when using client.meshtastic it sees both nodes connected via serial (USB), But the device I can no longer get to via bluetooth shows as UNK-UNK.

Here is what I did to fix it. If you have another device (iOS, iPad OS etc), pair to the broken node on that. I used my work iPhone. It prompted for the code and connected.

When you wipe the device when flashing you need to remove it under settings> Bluetooth. This is a BLE security feature and happens everywhere BLE is supported.

Riiight, this is referring to iOS native Settings>Bluetooth - not the settings inside Mestastic app!
I’ll give it a go when I get home :+1:

Here is how I “Reset Node DB” to get rid of pesky old nodes or node that are buggy as far as the datalogging and graphing are concerned:

  1. Open the Meshtastic app on the iPhone (not sure if BT connection to a LoRa rig is required).

  2. tap on the gear icon in the lower right called “Settings”

  3. scroll past “CONFIGURE” section and the “RADIO CONFIGURATION” section. You should now be at the “DEVICE CONFIGURATION” section.

  4. tap on “Device”.

  5. tap on the button with red letters sayin’ “Reset NodeDB” and follow the prompts.

That should wipe out all the nodes and then you should be able to graph battery voltage, and sensor data like temperature, humidity etc after about 24 hrs of data collection.
