Any luck on your end? I am having the same problem. Slot C is designed for it and Meshtastic says Slot C is supported for the GPS module. I am not getting it to register. I’ve tried two GPS modules.
i am having several rak19003 models,
one running a gps 1210, and an other one running a gps 12500
both are in the same slot, and functional. firmware 2.2.23 atm
before it was 2.2.10
if i remember correcty, there was only one slot, where the modules (and screws) did fit in. that one i used,
after the last update, the modules needed quite some time to start functioning, i think there was a gps reset involved in the last update. i thought its no more working, but then i just let it outside for several hours and suddenly it worked…
@bseal84 Did you end up figuring this out? I am having a similar problem.
I just did a continuity test between J7.1 on the RAK19003 and the RAK4630 pins and found that it was connected to Pin 9 (P0.19) which is UART1. This corresponding through-hole interface on the the RAK19007 (J10) is connected to UART2 just like slot A on that board.
Tried For Weeks Using The Default RAK12500 Included Antenna.
After Much Trial And Error And Getting No Success Still Constant No GPS Lock And No Sats. I Bit The Bullet And Ordered A Cheap Replacement GPS Antenna.
Swapped Out The Default RAK One And Turned On My Node. Within 20 Seconds The Cheap Antenna Picked Up 4 Sats Whilst Indoors And Then More Once Stepped Outside.
