I was wondering if I can get some clarification?
If I have 10 nodes on my network and have channel 0 as a public channel that all the nodes are apart of. I want to put 5 of those nodes on channel 1 . The question is will the channel 0 nodes that are not on the channel 1 group still relay the messages from channel 1 ?

Very good question. You could try it with a trace route and let up know lol. I believe the channel would have to be enabled on all nodes. I have only done this with a single ch with different encryption, never with different channels
If the modem settings are all the same and you also didn’t tell the radio to only retransmit signals it can decode, than yes. The channel 0 radios will hop the signal from channel 1 radios.
This depends on the rebroadcast setting (see Device Configuration | Meshtastic). By default, messages for channels that are not configured are also forwarded.
