How the heck do you send GPS location (from phone GPS)?

So I have two Heltec Boards connected fine to my mobile phones, the boards don’t have GPS , so I figured I would go to the Map tab on the mobile app and just use my phones GPS to send the coordinates… but I see the map, but don’t see a way to “drop a pin” or somehow send the GPS location … What am I missing? Im on Android by the way… Everything else works great (sending text messages) …

Got it! I’ll answer my own post… a couple of details…

  • Check make sure youir Mobile APP permissions for Location and Storage are allowed for Meshtatic APP
  • Wait and Make sure you’re phones GPS has enough Sats to get a Fix…
  • The Users Tab on the APP will show the last known coordinates after an initial GPS fix is determined.

The GPS from phone does not work on IOS app.
I try every possible options, The app is pulling GPS data from the phone but node is not logging Position not sending to MQTT not shoving local node on the map.
This has worked 2 versions ago ( 48 hours ago)

After last update of the IOS app the nods from MQTT are not showing at all.

If you change the location setting to exact location in IOS it seems to work.
