In case anyone else runs into this. I wanted to update a Heltec V3 by serial and my smol Chromebook felt the most suitable due to its location in the roof. So I connected via USB-C and the first thing that pop up is a notification in ChromeOS asking if you want to use CP2102 serial to Linux or Android. Ignore this notification as the web flasher won’t work if you chose either one. After choosing the right board and firmware in the web flasher go to flash and Chrome will popup asking to use the serial adapter as it does on PC.
