Hello,
I cannot get my RAK4631 to go into mass storage device so that the flash_nuke firmware can upload.
I am holding down the reset switch as I plug in the USB-C connector and nothing happens.
This all started when using my cell phone as an MQTT port.
The node would operate for about 1-2 hrs and then lock up.
After doing a reboot (pulling power) the node would just cycle on/off like it was self resetting.
I was able to get the node working again by using flash_nuke and reinstalling the firmware and all my settings.
The second time this happened is when my above problem not being able to load flash_nuke began.
Any ideas? Or do I now have a node as a paperweight?
The rak needs a double press on the reset button for it to go in dfu mode.
I tried that also. no luck.
Are you using the correct file? We do not refer to ours as the flash_nuke, that’s for Pico devices. Ours is the flash_erase.uf2. I would use the Meshtastic Web Flasher. Select RAK4631 as the device and then the trash can icon next to the flash button. Follow the directions step by step, don’t forget to click the serial monitor button after moving the uf2 over.
Got it working. THANK YOU.
Sometimes its best to just walk away for a little bit and start from scratch.
