(another) Brownout help request

My two t-beam arrived today , no screens yet but managed to set them both up and discovered the BT pair codes using serial app for osx (which has a 7 day free trial)

device one stopped working after about an hour
esptool will no longer connect
power cycling gives a few indicator lights while booting but then all lights go off.

serial output terminates with “Brownout detector was triggered”

apologies for long diagnostic output but if anyone can see what is wrong here , given that things were working ok for a while , i’d appreciate it.

I dont see any problem in log. You dont need hack your BT code. Press user button once and the device will be connected or press twice and BT code will be set to 123456.

good to know regarding the BT pin.

has been paired though but useful should I add any more devices.

is there a similar technique to get device back to factory ?

well I am very confused
device started working again, did nothing to it.
only thing that changed was the computer was restarted , not even connected by to the device , no cable , no bluetooth, connection was to the phone.
hmmm , if it stays working then good but I would really like to know what it was that screwed it up in the first place

My money is on defective hardware: in my experience (two LoRa32 and I don’t even know how many T-Beams), TTGO boards reliability is abysmal.

I’ve had some success in performing a poor man’s reflow with a hot air gun pointed at the AXP192 whereabouts.

A free alternative to Serial App is CoolTerm.

Yes I agree, 2/5 tbeams needed hot air gun touch.

Hi Tom can you describe what you did to resolve the issue? Did you just hold the hotgun over the axp chip? I have some GPS issues with Rev1.1 20210222 boards.
