Android app doesn't connect with RAK Ethernet

I have the RAK Ethernet module enabled and I use an Android device on wifi on same network. It seems impossible to get a stable connection. Receiving messages seem to work, but when trying to change something in Radio Configuration the RAK will reboot as it tries to read the nodes data.

The problem is whether this is an Android App, Firmware or Ethernet module issue.

Anyone else have this issue please?

It seems to me to be a normal reaction of the device to reboot whenever a setting (with very few exceptions) is changed.

Sorry, maybe I didnt make it clear.

The reboot happens when the app tries to read the settings from the node.

  1. Press “Radio Configuration”
  2. Select a tab to edit (anything, can be device, lora etc etc)
  3. A dialog pops up with normally a progress bar and a close button.

It is at this point the RAK will reboot and the app disconnects.

I also saw this same issue mentioned on the Facebook group and Discord but no one has a solution, so hoping someone here can test this if they have Android and a RAK with Ethernet.

Thanks
Matt
