3D Printed Cases etc

Still working on the case design. The replacement battery (for a PS4 controller) still hasn’t come in yet to test final fit.

My 3D printer is already warming up its stepper motors, " I can’t wait anymore":fire::fire:
One thing, try to put a battery that is more than 2500mAh so it would cover 48 hours of operation
Try looking online on AliExpress for 2500mAh or 3000mAh batteries.
I leave a reference link with the battery measurements, it is also cheap

The size of the battery that I have proposed is a little bigger apparently
Nice work, I really like your design.
Maybe with an upgrade in the future with a larger battery, maybe 3000mAh.
For now it is the most beautiful design I have ever seen here, but this does not discourage 3D drawing lovers to make other beautiful designs, so we can all enjoy the beautiful 3D models made by all of you

To make your case waterproof I would have put the gps antenna inside.
I would have taken a case of two centimeters larger and I would have added two batteries in parallel inside to make the battery last longer.
With the gps antenna out it is not waterproof in my opinion

Been sitting on this DIY case for a minute:

It has a bit too much horizontal space. It makes me wish for a 26650 based T-beam to fill it out perfectly. Nevertheless, a piece of foam shoved in there will keep it from clacked side to side.

This looks awesome, are you going to publish the STL files?

No stl,
Its full case
Moulded.
I am mainly in hardware design.

Thought to help out in hardware side.
Some aspects that I am still confused,
Do we need two differences designs- with oled slit and without oled
All 3 buttons needed or only one for on off.

For those who want a ready meshtastic.

Sensational! I would pay for one of these.

ill publish them as soon as i can confirm battery fit.

Couple minor cosmetic tweaks to the design.
I’ll probably provide a few different back-plates for different sized batteries.

Momentary press of top button to turn on.
Long press top or middle button to turn off.
Mid to long press of middle button to adjust backlight.
Press middle button to switch between info screens.
Bottom press to reset.
Hold middle button while press bottom then release middle to enable wifi access point.

I’d say all three are important.

As for screen, it’s useful but you can run without, option would be good.

Option for black case and no LED’s probably more important than white with LED’s.

Ok.

I have black cases,
On weekend I will work on that and share image.
Buttons I will get all three outside.

For charging what is our preference

Microusb or microusb+magnetic or wireless

As with wireless one charger will need to be carried along.
I made a design with solar top also, but it failed in providing adequate charge.
So now sticking only to power adapter/power bank version only

Two more designs i was working on were wearable
Without any screen/GPS.

I will etch or print via an uneven body printer the meshtastic logo.
Any suggestion what else will be important to include
