1.1.33 firmware tlora-v1 not permitting BT pairing to Android 9.0

I have just udated my 2x TTGO-LoRa32-V1 with 1.1.33 EU865 firmware but now BT pairing with Android 9.1 (Honor lite smartphone) doesn’t work anymore since no 6 digits code appears at the oled screen nor the code insertion is prompted on the smartphone. If I use my second phone based on Android 7.0 (Asus Zenphone3) everything is fine. Meshtastic App is 1.1.36 rev. level.

hmm - some phones have buggy BLE implementations. Can you try:

  • Uninstall meshtastic (or if you don’t want to uninstall, just go to android app settings and choose to ‘delete all app data/settings’)
  • Go to bluetooth settings and delete any existing “Meshtastic_…” pairings listed there
  • Reboot phone
  • Reinstall meshtastic

And then see if pairing works?
