I’m waitlisted to order the Meshtastic Station G2 transceiver. Need to ask it it will perform as an unregulated transceiver (similar to most models) as well as amateur ham transceiver?
or
is it just high power un-encrypted ham use only?

You can configure its power level. By default it’ll be set so it operates within the 915 ISM regs. See here for more details. Station G2 | Unit Engineering

I would hope to mast mount and solar power it, if button press functions
can be accomplished via bluetooth to iphone.
Otherwise, M&P Ultraflex coax up the mast (along with line loss) comes to mind.
Crichton, Thanks for this info. I have a g2 mounted inside and ran with some coax to an antenna. Is there a way to increase the power of encrypted tx to over come the line loss ? Its cut to about 1/2 now. Obviously staying within the legal limits. I have looked around for info but haven’t seen anything.
What I did was measure cable loss and add antenna gain, enable ham mode and change tx power to compensate for cable loss. I think mines set at around 1.4-5W to get 0.9W ERP.
