I have a Heltec V3 that will pair easily with my Alcatel phone running Android 11 Go, but when trying with an older ACER tablet running android 7 I can not pair at all.
I have tried uninstalling Meshtastic and pairing with just the Bluetooth pairing menu still the same problem it fails to pair.
Even tried using a fixed pin and still the same. In Mestastic app the selected Mesh device will not stay selected but will bring up the enter pairing display to fail again when numbers entered.
I suspect an issue with Android 7, but as updates are no longer avail for the ACER B3-A40 I am a bit stuck so if anyone has succeeded with anything like this, please let me know.

I have got a sort of workaround to use the old tablet now, it is connected via a USB cable from the tablet to the Heltec.
The tablet keeps the battery topped up and a charger keeps the tablet topped up, not a brilliant solution but it works.
