When trying to connect to my tbeam on FW 1.2.63 through serial connection on the meshtastic web client, I was given the message “reading device configuration” and it sat at that screen. I waited for a while and nothing happened so I tried hitting connect again, and I got the message “Device errored or disconnected”.
How can I get the serial connection working?
The reason I need this is I believe my screen shorted so I am trying to get the connection code without a screen.
If you have the CLI connect via usb and do meshtastic —noproto and you will see the code when it tries to pair. If it is a tbeam you can simple press the middle button twice, blue led will flash and then your pin is 123456

Yes follow the idea from @garth, and if you are still convinced that the screen is broken, buy a new one, they only cost a few bucks, not worth wasting your time trying to get around it.
