Phone case that integrates with board?

I’m curious if anyone has made a phone case that integrates with a supported board? I’m guessing it would be kind of large and not super practical, but I kind of like the idea of just having a wifi only phone and then falling back to Meshtastic for communication when not on wifi.

I’m pretty sure the pine phone will have an integrated case with lora. There are 6 pogo pins on the phone and lora boards being developed. I assume you will be able to snap off the back of the phone and snap on a new back cover that’s has an integrated lora board. Phone PinePhone Archives - PINE STORE

I think (not sure) they’re sending me a prototype when they have one (they are making some tweaks to the board they sent for the pinetab). When they do I’ll add support.

Maybe a heltec lora 32 or similar board, an otg usb cable to deliver power to it and your antenna.
All that inside a case for your cell phone printed on your 3d printer :thinking:

Pine64 team also recently released a set of back cases and one of them has LoRa (Using a Semtech SX1262 power efficient LoRa module)
