I have been racking my head trying to get to the webserver. I can connect to the wifi. But, neither meshtastic.local or 192.168.42.1 server anything and just times out or says error name resolving. I have reflashed my t boards with 1.2.45 by the command promp and appears to be succesful each time. I have changed to ssid and pwd to something easy to type with no difference. Any help appreciated.

For some strange reason I finally found it on “192.168.42.1/static”. I never did get a response from http://meshstatic.local or from 192.168.42.1
a completely new Web UI started shipping as part of the firmware since version 1.2.47, to install you need to do a complete reflash using the device-install script.
For firmware version 1.2.45 you had to upload web interface files, but at that time there were not any working files for it. Install a newer firmware, that already contains a built-in web interface as @AndreK suggested.
