How to use US HAM 433Mhz?

I have a pair of 433Mhz TBeams that I’ve loaded with 2.0.15.
I initially set the Region to US via the CLI, but they quickly join my 915Mhz nodes. (Wrong frequency, but they joined).

I use the CLI to: meshtastic --set lora.region ‘EU_433’
meshtastic --set-ham N1OBU-11 (and the other to -12)

Is this the correct way to use 433Mhz TBeams in the US?
(I thought I read somewhere the EU limits the use of 433Mhz by power & duty cycle. Can’t seem to find that reference again at the moment.)

Can there be US 433Mhz options in future firmware updates?

Thanks for your assistance/support
Doug

I don’t have a definitive answer for you but I do believe by using --set ham command it unlocks increased transmit power by also setting IsLicensend. You can also override the duty cycle limitations too.

New here, searching for this same answer. As a ham in the US with a pair of 433mhz devices, what region do I choose? EU-433mhz has the duty cycle limit… Should I use the Ukraine 433mhz? Doing this allowed my first successful transmission, but wondering if there are ramifications of this, or better official guidance for hams. I want to do the right thing and not cause QRM within the band while also utilizing the privileges of my license, which the EU setting limits.
