First Node (T-Beam) and Enclosure for it

Greetings from northern Germany,
I finished my first Node yesterday evening.
The T-Beam and a T-Echo are my first Meshtastic devices.
I stumbled onto Meshtastic on Lemmy and found it really intriguing.

The Enclosure is mainly for dust protection and to protect it if I someday decide to take it with me.
At the moment it’s powered over the grid but I have an old USB Solar Panel that has been laying around for a while now, maybe I’ll use that in the future.

I had to de-solder the display and connect it with wires in order for it to fit the orientation of the enclosure.
For 5V power I used an XT-60 connector for input into the enclosure. Inside it I soldered a Micro USB plug to the XT-60 connector. I use a USB PD Trigger Module to power the whole thing over USB.

Nice build. These boards really do need to be in a box. I used them without and they tended to break so nice job.

Thank you.
Maybe I’ve gone a little bit overboard with the hot glue ^^

Just ordered a couple of different antennas to test if I can get better range and connection with the other nodes in my city. The reception at the moment is definitely better in the night, probably much less noise then.

I had good results with the following:

Thanks for the recommendations.
I purchased 6 different antennas from Mouser, the whip antenna from Taoglas is one of them.
