For others in the future setting up a screen for a screenless module, I can not stress enough the importance of the soldering for the screen. Mine v.1.0 came without a screen and the screen I bought did not switch on despite it showing in the putty log as “found”. Got myself a 4 pin female header, used some decent amount solder to attach it to the board and connected the screen through the header and worked instantly!
