Store & Forward over repeaters

Hello everyone, I have a question regarding Store & Forward. Is it possible that person A has a router, person B has a repeater and person C also has a repeater and a client? If so, when person C turns on his client, are the missed messages routed through A’s router and B’s and C’s repeaters?

Store and Forward is not complete and it not yet supported in any clients so much of this is unknown at this point.

Hi Garth,
any update on the store and forward status?

I havent used it yet, but jsut reading th docs

… suggests there is no automatic ‘forwarding’ of stored messages.

A client has to explicitly request any stored messages from the device has has storage enabled.

So would need a node with store and forward enabled (probably either of the repeaters in the example, as need to be of type Router)

Then if C’s client has been offline (for example) then messages send by A, would be stored in the repeater, and then when C reconnects their client to their repeater, it can request the stored messages to be retransmitted.

Depending on the app used, the might see that the repeater has storage, or might just have to ‘know’ that, so can send it a direct message to request history.
