Thanks Drew! Appreciate it.

If you figure this out, please let me know.
Ive been all thru it and there is no place to login as an Admin or Superuser. I looked thru the documentation and no where does it say how to do this. There is no login screen !?!?!?.

[edit] even the wiki help forum has no information on how to do it. Upon further searching, it appears that Drew has to set this up.

[edit2] It appears the way to do it is by using the ACL plugin…but guess what…you have to be logged in as superuser to do so.

Use ftp, modify dokuwiki.php $conf[‘useacl’] = 1;
Rename users.auth.php.dist and acl.auth.php.dist to remove .dist from there.

Login admin:admin and change password.

conf/dokuwiki.conf
/* Authentication Settings */
$conf[‘useacl’] = 1; //Use Access Control Lists to restrict access?

both users.auth.php, and acl.auth.php exist with no .dist on the end in conf/

you should be able to login with admin/admin and change password.

I’ll just give you some ftp here…

did I send you the ftp account info already?

Looks like these changes are already made.

have a good one!

No, I have no ftp acess.

I found the stuff you need.
Get logged into the page.
See what sort of user you’re logged in as:

  1. Admin button, top right. If that ain’t there, you’re not an admin, and you need to fix that.
  2. User manager
  3. there you can see yourself, hopefully

Turn off new registrations:

  1. Admin button, top right
  2. Configuration Settings
  3. Disable Dokuwiki actions section, about half way down, (ctrl-F “regis”)
  4. tick box for Register
    That will disable new registrations
