I just spent a bit of time improving the docs on the various preferences which can be set on a node. Though some of these preferences are still a bit ‘gearheady’ in their text. If anyone would like to further improve these docs pull requests that improve the source text in mesh.proto:UserPreferences would be highly appreciated.
Eventually the android app will also be able to set these more advanced options, but for now only accessible by the python tool.
btw @feh123 You can increase gps_attempt_time for your nodes with marginal GPS signal to get behavior like on the old loads.

meshtastic --set gps_attempt_time secs 10?
I see if stationary the default appears to be 15 mins - that fits with my experience. Do I have to change that too? Thanks.
It used to be infinite. I really don’t know why it takes so long to get a satellite lock for your boards. But if you pick something large (like 3600 seconds - an hour) it should let you use the new loads.
