I see there is the option to redefine gps tx/rx and EN in settings, and there by enabling the connection of a gps reciever to boards without a gps.
I have found instructions on how to connect a gps reciever trough a transistor to control the power to the gps module.
Have anyone done this on a LILLYGO T3 Board, and can we set on/off switching schedule with any of the other settings?
In my case I need to be able to switch off the gps for extended periods to save power and it needs to bee controlled by the software as it will be used in tracking roaming farm animals over an extended period of time.
I am also interested in if this will be possible to do on a Rak Wisblock setup for even lower power usage.
After a lot of googeling Im coming somewhat up short of a propper answer if we have true gps/gnss on/off possibilities now.
