I work in Newcastle, but live close to Wyee. currently looking at meshtastic for grid down comms for a community housing provider. Have had a personal interest in Mestastic but now have a real reason to get a few nodes up and running. Ah sorry I saw Central Coast but you are actually Central West, I may look at something in dubbo at some stage.
Actually I have siblings and other relatives on the Central Coast so a
discussion about possibilities is still probably worthwhile?
Does Meshtastic work from a car? - I am presuming not because of antenna
direction problems?

Hey Phil, I live near Wyee\Morisset on the western side of lake mac. considering setting up a repeater, hoping I can reach into Newcastle where I am thinking to put a repeater on one of the taller buildings if possible. May also have a building in Gosford. Iām not sure if my house is enough to link the two. I guess we never know who else might get involved.
It would work from a car in router or router client with a dipole antenna I suspect provided you are near a repeater or others. range probably limited to a 10s of kms vs anything like the record.
