I can get my devices to talk to one another while theyre sitting a few feet apart, but if I even put them in seperate rooms they struggle. The Bluetooth connection works better than the 915 Mhz frequency. Thanks for any help.

Is the correct region configured?
Yes all the regions are matching and correct.
Go outside, lora likes line of sight and height.
Yeah, I know, Im just a little disappointed. Line of sight is one thing, but not being able to talk to a device 15 feet away through a open doorway just because its around a corner, is a let down.
Are you sure the modemsettings are the same for all devices and you did not rename the channel ?
Really depends what is in those walls for wireless, plaster and chicken wire or metal studs can really affect signals.
Maybe your antenna’s are RP (reverse polarity) so there is no connection between the connector and antenna.
Some devices are shipped with the wrong antennas for the region you’re in or there could be another problem with your hardware. Even with dummy loads as the antenna, you should easily go through a few walls.
I agree. I have no problems going from my office to the back of my home. Thats through three walls. I think you have an antenna problem. One other thing, if you powered up your board without an antenna, you may have damaged the transmitter. I can not see anything else would cause the problem (Wrong antenna or a damaged board) from powering up with no antenna. Dennis K5QFI
Yes that is a possibility. Female to female connection. Then no antenna connection.
Okay there is alot to unpack there. The main response to most of it is I can get them to communicate, just not around corners. Im thinking that many of the proposed problems your suggesting would prevent the devices from communicating at all. I am using/testing several different aftermarket antennas, two of which are the larger rooftop antennas mounted to poles (one plastic, one wood) using the mounting hardware that came with the antennas. I have tried different antennas on different devices in different locations, and the connections to the radios all match. The walls are normal interior wood frame and drywall. I just cant get comms without strict “line of sight”. I appreciate all the feedback, Im new to this so if im wrong about something I need to know.
The RF should penetrate most walls at 20M. At 433mhz I’m getting 7.5km line of sight from a bedroom window to a vehicle. It sounds like you have a modem setup issue or antenna problem.
