You make a very important point. However, my use case is to use a “house node” to connect to a “main node” which is out of bluetooth range. Thus I need the Neighbor Info, I think, to get the list of nodes that the main node sees onto the “house node” so I can see the same thing that the “main node” sees. This is a problem for many people, I think: one needs a node to connect to the main node because bluetooth range is often really not far enough to have just one main node e.g. in the attic. The side-effect is that all the “main nodes” people use broadcast the neighbor info with the effects you mention. We need really to have a special tethered node mode in which one node is a mirror of another : without the neighbor info mode being required from either node.
