Request for community help with depreciated information

This community has grown really fast, just like the project.

Some of the older posts contain directions and examples that are no longer correct due to changes in the 1.2.x branch.

If you find one of these posts please post a link to it in this topic so I or another moderator can add a note that it is depreciated. If you find the correct information it would be great if you include that info or a link to it as well.

Anything we can do to help new users will help the project grow.

Thanks,
S

To build on this, many links to docs in the repos are no longer active. The docs have been migrated.

People can either:

  • change their link to point to a specific doc in a specific commit
  • link the the updated docs (preferred)

Thanks for adding that.

If given the necessary information I will do my best to update documentation links.

An example format to submit a correction:

Bad documentation link in this post: insert.post.link
Correct documentation link: insert.correct.doc.link

Moderators can edit anyone’s posts. I try not to make a habit of it unless I think it is more beneficial to the community to make the change vs respecting the users original content.

Good to know. @apt105 and I were talking about this point just yesterday, so If I see anything needing changes, I’ll let you know! Good to know its not reliant on each user to update their own posts (though that would be so nice of people to do!)
