With the RAK4631 is there a secret button sequence to power off? Or just need to install a switch or unplug the battery to get it to turn off?
There is no on/off switch for the rak devices. There is a “soft off” within the app that puts it into a near shutdown mode that drastically cuts power consumption but it still consumes some. If you want an actual on/off switch you would need to wire one into the battery.

If there is no true Off with out disconnecting battery…
Would it be possible to add a switch to the RaK itself to activate the sleep mode, a physical switch that would do what the app button does?
I know very little about this stuff at this point but I do have a RAK4631 device I bought from Garth’s store with a rotary knob control which at this moment I have no idea how to configure but I have learned that if I press the knob which obviously serves as a switch of some sort and hold it for 8 seconds it goes into a shut down mode (says that on the screen) and then shuts down. If that worked for me, it may work for you also. I hope so.
