OSS - Developer Community

This was a topic from our Developer day from an offline conversation with an Open Source Software guru. Let’s continue the conversation here.

With our increasing number of developers, we should find a way to keep the developers in touch with each other and be part of a developer community.

I think we’re doing ok here with the slack, but think we can continue efforts to build more of a tight developer community. He said that what he’s seen work is to have (not being prescriptive) regular conference calls where anyone who contributes can jump in with questions, share stories or be part of a decision making process for the architecture of the platform.

Questions for developers:

  • Should our developer conference be a regular occurrence?
  • How frequently should schedule an online conference / zoom / meet up?
  • Other than zoom, how else can me regularly meet?
