Meshtastic Dev Demo - Clear NVS - Trouble pairing bluetooth?

In this demo, we show how to clear the NVS memory on the esp32 if you have trouble pairing bluetooth devices. Use this only as a last resort, it will also delete the ssl keys and other minor saved counters.

Steps:

  • Double click the user button
  • As soon as the LED stops blinking, immediately triple click the button.
  • Wait for the device to restart

Note: This will only work immediately after a double click. That’s to prevent an accidentally triple click from deleting device settings.

This has also been added to the ‘factory reset’ so will also be done when the factory reset is run.

Only for esp32 based devices.

Notice you removed the metal ant, What type antenna you made / use on the board? Or just wire to the connector?

“removed” gives me too much credit. It broke off and I replaced it with a piece of wire.
