Meshtastic

Destination node id format

Trying to use the meshtastic command tool and can’t get the node destination to work.
Sending to all nodes with the command
meshtastic --sendtext ‘Hello All’
works fine, but to a specific node it fails.
This is the destination node: {‘num’: 2988159208, ‘user’: {‘id’: ‘!ac67b21bb0e8’, ‘longName’: ‘Unknown b0e8’, ‘shortName’: ‘?E8’,…
and I use the command line:
meshtastic --dest 2988159208 --sendtext ‘Hello e8’
it hangs, and
meshtastic --dest ‘!ac67b21bb0e8’ --sendtext ‘Hello e8’
result in the message:
Trigger powerFSM 9
Connected to radio
Sending text message Hello e8 to !ac67b21bb0e8
‘dict’ object has no attribute ‘num’
Trying :
meshtastic --dest “{‘num’: 2988737524}” --sendtext ‘Hello e8’
This also hangs.
Any pointers to examples?

Hmm:

meshtastic --dest ‘!ac67b21bb0e8’ --sendtext ‘Hello e8’
result in the message:
Trigger powerFSM 9
Connected to radio
Sending text message Hello e8 to !ac67b21bb0e8
‘dict’ object has no attribute ‘num’

Should have worked. Can you log a bug on meshtastic-python and link to this thread? I’ll take a look late this week.
