Added a RAK 3dBi antenna. It definitely improved performance. Compared to the smaller antenna, it performed better/farther in my neighborhood (penetrated more houses); the test was done using two radios, both with RAK 3dBi antennas. Definitely worth $27; I’m thinking about mounting it to a vehicle and waterproofing the case.

This antenna looks great, and that’s not a bad price at all if it performs.
What kind of range did you get from your tests?
I only tested it in a neighborhood. I got 500m (signal traveled through several houses). I still need to test it in an open area, but I’m truly more interested doing more teats in dense urban/suburban areas.
